5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Alabama Climate Control truly prides themselves on quality customer service. As a customer who was overly frustrated because my AC went out at the most hotest time of the season; they immediately understood my needs and concerns. They treated me with the utmost respect, genuine concern, and care.
Not to mention, I contacted their after-hours department, and before I could even leave a message, someone was already returning my call—that’s award-winning customer service if you ask me! The original HVAC tech who answered assured me he’d have the office contact me first thing in the morning, and they proved they are a company of their word when I received that phone call right on schedule as promised.
I was greeted with a prompt call from Ms. Nori—again, customer service above reproach—followed by the technician, Jeremy, who called prior to arriving and communicated every single step of the way. Jeremy went above and beyond, which clearly shows how passionate he is about his profession.
If you’re searching for a reputable company, look no further. Alabama Climate Control treats you like more than just a customer—they treat you like family! 😉

FAQs

Why is my furnace blowing cold air?

A furnace blowing cold air most commonly points to a dirty or failing flame sensor, an ignition failure, an overheated system that has tripped a safety limit (often from a clogged filter), or a gas valve problem. For heat pumps, blowing cool air in very cold weather may indicate the backup heat isn’t activating. Our technicians can quickly diagnose the cause and get your heat back on.

What does it mean if my furnace burner won’t ignite?

If your furnace burner won’t ignite, the most common culprits are a dirty or failed flame sensor, a faulty igniter, or a failed pressure switch. Modern furnaces run through multiple safety stages before ignition, and if any one fails, the furnace locks out and won’t fire. A technician can pinpoint exactly what’s preventing ignition.

Why do I smell a burning odor when I turn on my heater for the first time?

A brief, faint burning smell at the start of the heating season is typically normal. The smell comes from dust burning off the heat exchanger after months of inactivity. If the smell is strong, persistent, or smells like burning plastic or electrical components, shut the system off and call for an inspection.

Is a cracked heat exchanger dangerous?

Yes, a cracked heat exchanger is a serious safety concern. It separates combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, from the air circulating through your home, and a crack can allow CO to enter your living space. If a cracked heat exchanger is detected, the furnace should not be operated until it is replaced.

Why is my heat pump blowing lukewarm air instead of hot air?

Heat pumps move heat rather than generate it, so the air feels warm but not as intensely hot as a gas furnace, this is normal. However, if your heat pump is struggling to maintain your set temperature, the most likely causes are a refrigerant issue, a failing reversing valve, or backup heat strips not activating when needed.

How do I troubleshoot a furnace that keeps tripping the circuit breaker?

A furnace that repeatedly trips the circuit breaker usually points to a failing blower motor drawing too much current, an overloaded circuit, or a problem with the breaker itself. Reset the breaker once, and if it trips again immediately, do not keep resetting it. Call a technician to diagnose whether the issue is within the furnace or in the electrical supply. For combined air conditioning and heating repair needs, our team can assess both systems in a single visit.
